He retired from the Air Force after 22.5 years of combined branch military service. Discipline, candor and honor were a large part of my daily life growing up and still are to this day.
Dad was great fun, could be a bit strict, and I miss him dearly!
Mom is a Breast Cancer survivor and is still here with us residing in Aurora, Colorado. At age 82, she still drives her Blue Mustang, to the store and appointments! Sharp as a whip this one.
Me, I'm a natural early riser, (4:00 am no alarm needed) I roll out, grab a cup of java, (possibly 2 cups) and begin my day in Real Estate. Once I have read the previous evening emails, I start reviewing the new listings on the Denver MLS system. Sorting through the homes that are relevant to my clients and schedule any showings for that day., and go see the homes that may be competition for my listings. Next, I check on my current listings. Add any newly taken pictures, and view the "website counters" on various websites to see how many views we are getting currently. Search engine optimization is a wonderful technique I'm using on several websites to put my home listings before any other homes in the area. Then, I prepare for any afternoon listing appointments. My listings are also included on a "Global Real Estate" site that actually translates into different languages automatically so that buyers can contact us regarding my homes for sale from across the world.
In the afternoon I am usually showing homes to current Buyers I am working with or going on listing appointments.
I have been an Art Director of a Modeling Agency, Booking Agent. This is going to sound really crazy, but Real Estate is not very different! A tremendous amount of photography, and scheduling of photographers, and putting together portfolios. As an International Agency, I booked work for the Models in other countries, and locally.
Previous to the Agency, I worked for Western Farm Bureau as the Director of the Marketing Department. Photography, advertising and niche marketing program implementation for the areas of our top sales people, was my daily business duties.
Little did I know how well all of these experiences would come together for my career in Real Estate. I have received the Real Estate Negotiation Expert Award from the National Association of Realtors. More recently I have studied and passed the test for the Luxury Home Marketing Institute as a Specialist for Luxury Homes. A Global Website access that can translate automatically to 4 different languages. That's pretty exciting! And that is just the beginning.
